A tool that strips tags from HTML and keeps only the text. Paragraph and heading breaks stay as line breaks, and characters such as `**&**` are converted back to the original characters. Use it to quote the body text of a web page, or to pull plain text from HTML emails and CMS output. Tags can be kept selectively instead of removing all of them. The result updates as you type, so you can paste HTML and check the output right away. ## How to Use 1. Paste HTML into the input area. 2. If needed, enter the tags you want to keep in “Tags to Keep”. 3. Check the result without tags in the output area. If you keep the list empty, all tags are removed. ## Main Settings ### Tags to Keep Enter tag names separated by commas or spaces. Do not add `**<>**`. ```text a, p, br, strong ``` With this setting, those tags stay with their attributes while other tags are removed. Use it to keep links or line breaks. ### Text Formatting Three switches control how the output is built. All of them are on by default. - Insert Line Breaks: starts a new line at paragraphs, headings, lists, and other blocks. Turn it off to join everything into one flow - Tidy Whitespace: collapses repeated blank lines and trims the start and end of each line. Turn it off to keep the original indentation and blank lines - Remove Script and Style: drops the contents of script and style elements.
