A tool for selectively removing line breaks, tabs, and spaces from text. For line breaks, you can keep them, delete them, or replace each one with a single half-width space to join lines. Whitespace characters that are hard to tell apart from normal spaces, often mixed into text copied from PDFs, can be removed as well. The input is processed on the spot, which makes it a good fit for tasks like flattening multi-line text into a single line while checking the result. ## How to Use 1. Paste the text you want to clean up into the input area. 2. Choose the removal settings for line breaks, tabs, and spaces. 3. Check the processed text in the output area. By default, line breaks, tabs, and spaces are all removed. ## Main Settings ### Line breaks Choose how line breaks are handled: **Keep**, **Remove**, or **Replace with spaces**. - Keep: leaves line breaks as they are. Use this when you only want to drop tabs or spaces - Remove: deletes line breaks ( `**\r\n**`, `**\n**`, `**\r**`) as they are - Replace with spaces: replaces each line break with a single half-width space. This keeps English words from sticking together when you flatten text whose line breaks mark word boundaries ### Remove tabs Removes tab characters. Useful for stripping delimiters from tab-separated data copied from spreadsheets. ### Remove invisible spaces Removes whitespace characters that are hard to tell apart from normal spaces, such as NBSP (`**\u00A0**`) and zero-width spaces. These often sneak in from PDFs and web pages, and this option is off by default. ### Spaces Removes half-width and full-width spaces in a range you choose. - **All** - removes both half-width and full-width spaces - **Half-width** - removes half-width spaces only - **Full-width** - removes full-width spaces only - **None** - keeps spaces as they are ## Use Cases - Removing unwanted line breaks from text copied out of PDFs or web pages - Joining the lines of English sentences by replacing line breaks with spaces - Turning tab-separated text from spreadsheets into a single line - Cleaning up text where invisible characters are breaking search or data processing ## Things to Keep in Mind - There is no option to insert a delimiter where characters were removed. If you need one, replace line breaks with spaces or turn off space removal - Removing all spaces as well can glue words together and hurt readability - Invisible spaces are kept by default.
