What is OGP Image Simulator?

OGP Image Simulator is a tool for previewing how your own images may appear in share cards on X and Facebook. You can also edit the title and description text to see how the card layout changes with different combinations.

It is useful when you want to compare multiple image candidates, check how text fits with a share image, or review card appearance before publishing.

How to Use

  1. Upload the image or images you want to test. You can add more images later if you want to compare additional candidates.
  2. Edit the og:title and og:description text if needed.
  3. Switch between uploaded images when comparing multiple candidates. You can also remove images and add them again.
  4. Review the X and Facebook preview layouts.

The tool accepts up to 10 images, so it works well for side-by-side decision making.

Preview Modes

X

  • PC Large Image
  • Mobile Large Image
  • PC Summary
  • Mobile Summary

You can also switch between light, dark blue, and dark themes.

Facebook

  • PC
  • Mobile

Light and dark themes are available here too.

Input and Output Example

For example, if you upload a 1200 × 630 image and enter a title and description, the tool shows how that same image and text fit into each card layout.

If you upload multiple images, you can switch between the thumbnails while keeping the same text to compare candidates more easily.

Use Cases

  • Comparing several OGP image options
  • Checking whether title and description length still fit well
  • Reviewing differences between X and Facebook card layouts
  • Catching cropping or composition issues before publishing

Things to Keep in Mind

  • This tool previews uploaded images only; it does not fetch OGP metadata from a live page
  • Card appearance can change depending on the image ratio and composition
  • Actual social platforms may still differ slightly because of cache or rendering changes on their side

If you want to inspect OGP data from an actual page URL, use OGP Checker as well.
